A strange hand reaching out of the dark.
This original gothic sticker features a pale violet hand with elongated black fingers, sketch-like shading and a mysterious dark marking on the central palm. The rough linework and cool purple palette give it an eerie, occult-inspired appearance.

Examination Record 108-W
Submitted designation: Witchy Hand
Object: Detached hand and partial wrist
Origin: Undetermined
Condition on receipt: Stable
Research priority: Moderate
RECEIVING
Records: Is it human?
Z. Omb: Probably.
Records: Probably?
Z. Omb: You have submitted a detached hand with black fingers and an unidentified mark on the dorsum. I would prefer to complete the examination before becoming more confident.
Records: Fair.
EXTERNAL EXAMINATION
Five digits.
General skeletal proportions consistent with a human hand.
No additional digits.
No obvious traumatic deformation.
The distal portions of all five digits are markedly darker than the hand and wrist.
Pigmentation becomes progressively darker toward the fingertips, although the boundary is irregular.
A roughly circular dark structure is present on the dorsum of the hand.
Relationship between the two findings is unknown.
Records
It looks like a symbol.
Z. Omb
It has a shape.
Records
Yes. A symbol-shaped shape.
Z. Omb
That is not a diagnostic category.
TEST 1 — SURFACE
The palmar marking cannot be removed through ordinary surface cleaning.
It is therefore unlikely to be superficial contamination.
Magnification shows that the coloration extends below the outermost surface.
This does not establish whether it is deliberately introduced pigment.
The fingers show a different distribution.
Do not assume common cause merely because both findings are dark.
TEST 4 — PERFUSION
Vascular structures remain identifiable within the darkened digits.
No clear boundary consistent with ordinary necrotic tissue.
Tissue integrity is substantially better than the external appearance initially suggested.
Records
So they're not rotting?
Z. Omb
Correct.
Records
That's good.
Z. Omb
For whom?
Records
...the hand?
Z. Omb
The hand is detached.
Records
I know.
Z. Omb
Then “good” requires a reference point.
Records
Omb.
Z. Omb
The fingers are not rotting.
Records
Thank you.
TEST 7 — palmar MARKING
Imaging indicates that the marking is not confined to the epidermis.
Pigmented material is present through multiple tissue depths.
Distribution does not resemble conventional tattoo deposition.
No foreign object detected.
No obvious inflammatory response.
Z. OMB — PERSONAL NOTE
Interesting.
TEST 9
Question:
Does the palmar structure terminate at the skin?
Answer:
No.
Further imaging shows a narrow continuation into underlying tissue.
Its geometry changes with depth.
The visible circular pattern is therefore only the surface expression of a larger structure.
Records
Structure?
Z. Omb
For the moment.
Records
Not symbol?
Z. Omb
A symbol communicates something.
We have established neither communication nor intent.
TEST 12
Relationship between palmar structure and digital pigmentation remains unresolved.
Initial hypothesis:
Single underlying process.
Current evidence:
Weak.
Alternative:
Two unrelated characteristics occurring in the same specimen.
This is less satisfying.
It is not therefore less plausible.
STATUS UPDATE
Human morphology: Strongly supported
Black digital coloration: Cause unknown
Necrosis: Not supported
palmar marking: Extends internally; composition unresolved
Connection between findings: Unestablished
Anomalous properties: Candidate; insufficiently characterized
Records
So can we still call it the Witchy Hand?
Z. Omb
For catalogue purposes.
Records
But we don't know if it's a witch.
Z. Omb
Correct.
Records
You're allowing it anyway.
Z. Omb
I have learned.
